For the first time, the GCEE is publishing a Spring Report, which will consist of the Economic Outlook for 2024 and 2025 and an analysis of the freight transport in Germany focussing on infrastructure requirements and decarbonisation.

The deteriorating condition of the road and rail infrastructure hampers economic development in Germany. To decarbonise freight transport more quickly, government action should prioritise expanding a charging infrastructure for battery-electric trucks.

On 15 May 2024, the GCEE will publish its Spring Report 2024, which will consist of the Economic Outlook for the years 2024 and 2025 and a chapter on sustainable freight transport marking the first step to a new publication timeline.
